Weirsy at the Masters

NOVEMBER 12th, 2020

The time the entire golf world has been waiting for. The First Fall Masters was here and all the talk was about distance. However, what many of the critics forgot about was that precision could still be a tool for success. The world would have to wait as rain delayed the first round for a few hours.

ROUND 1: Wearing the Custom Navy 'Weirsy' Hat and 'Yes Sir' glove from the GOLF x ASHER Collection Box, Mike Weir started and finished steady. Avoided big mistakes and took advantage of a few key approach shots. With Birdies on 6,7 and 13, Weirsy was in good position heading into Day 2.

ROUND 2: An afternoon tee time was pushed back even further due to a rain delay on Day One. Wearing the Custom White 'Weirsy' Hat and a combination of the Tonal Collection, Weirsy struggled on the back nine shoot +2 on the back and was +1 for the tournament when the round got called due to darkness.

"READY TO MAKE SOME BIRDIES TOMORROW"

Ready to make some birdies he was. Starting out bright and early on Saturday morning, Weirsy came out hot and birdied one with a dart from the fairway. The round continued steady, however was still on the border of making the cut. That all changed by draining a clutch putt on 8 to put him -1 for the tournament and safe above the cut line. Hard work had officially paid off and Weirsy would play his first weekend at Augusta since 2014.

ROUND 3: After a snack and quick break, it was back on the course for Round 3. He picked up right where he left off, making birdies on 9, 13, 15 and 16 finishing two-under on the back nine. The front nine was up and down, but held on to finish one-under for the round and two-under for the tournament.

ROUND 4: Wearing the Custom White/Navy 'Weirsy' Hat and the 'Looper' glove from the 'Augusta' Collection box, Mike caught a few bad breaks on the greens, but played tough and finished T51 for the tournament. We could not be prouder of our guy and the tournament he played.

Until Next Year, Friends!
